In an alarming development, health authorities have identified nearly a dozen cases of salmonella infections across seven states, all linked to powdered supplements retailed at Sam’s Club. This announcement was made on Friday by health officials.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has launched an investigation into these illnesses, which have been associated with Member’s Mark Super Greens Powder Supplements. These products were available both at the nationwide wholesale chain and through online platforms.

According to the CDC, the supplements have been pulled from store shelves as a precautionary measure. The concern arises from the presence of moringa leaf powder in the products, which is suspected to be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.
