OAKWOOD, Ill. (WCIA) — Neal Stephens and Donald Smith with Mission K9 Warrior and Middle Fork Jeep joined WCIA’s Mitchell Rife to talk about an upcoming event.

All of the proceeds for the 7th annual Middle Fork Jeep Fest will go towards Mission K9 Warrior for PTSD service dogs for eligible veterans. Smith said that Jeep Wranglers tie into the theme of this event because they were introduced in 1941 as military vehicles.

Mission K9 Warrior currently has approximately 32 dogs out in service to help veterans. Each dog costs about $15,000 depending on how much training is required.

The 2025 Middle Fork Jeep Fest for Mission K9 Warrior will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Vermilion County Fairgrounds in Oakwood. Gates to the event open at 10 a.m. For more information, head to middleforkjeeps.com.
