CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Champaign County Fair Pageant winners Sloane Davis and Sophia Hartkey joined WCIA’s Taylor Mitchell to talk about their experiences.
Hartkey was named Miss Champaign County Fair 2025 and Davis was named Little Miss Champaign County Fair 2025. At the fair, pageant contestants participate in interviews with the judges and various fashion shows.
Sloane is also participating in the Rodeo on Friday at this year’s fair. She will be taking part in the barrel racing, and her dad takes part in the Rodeo every year at the event. Sloane’s family has been riding horses for a long time, as her great grandfather trained racehorses.
The day after the Rodeo will be the Demolition Derby, and Sunday will include both the Draft Horse Show and the Horse Pull. The fair starts on Friday and lasts until July 26. For more information on the fair and the events taking place, visit their website.
