GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () – A house fire that the Glynn County Fire Rescue (GCFR) responded to resulted in one firefighter being injured.
GCFR responded Thursday morning to a house fire at 102 Mackqueen Drive after a neighbor reported heavy smoke and visible flames. Once on the scene, GCFR firefighters initiated a fast attack and search of the residence while halting the spread of the fire.

The home was empty at the time of the fire, however two dogs suffered smoke inhalation and did not survive despite efforts by GCFR to resuscitate them.
One GCFR firefighter suffered injuries during operations and was transported to Southeast Georgia Health System Emergency Room where he was treated and released.
The home sustained significant damage and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
