Crews battle huge fire at vacant home in Crystal River, second fire at nursing facility

On a busy Friday night in Crystal River, Florida, Citrus County Fire Rescue tackled two separate fires that broke out miles apart. Their quick and coordinated response ensured both incidents were brought under control efficiently.

The first blaze erupted around 8:15 p.m. on Halloween night, drawing emergency crews to a residence on North Reynolds Avenue. Upon arrival, the firefighters were confronted with a mobile home completely engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing from the structure.
