Vermilion Co. first responders host mock accident

VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — First responders in Vermilion County will hold a mock motor vehicle accident on Tuesday.

The Bismarck Community Fire Protection District, Vermilion County Sheriff Department, Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School, and more are teaming up to urge students to stay safe on prom night.

The fire protection district said there will be a large number of first responders at the high school on Tuesday, but assured the community that this is a learning event for students in a controlled environment.

The Bismarck Community Fire Protection District added that the public is not allowed to attend the event. For safety purposes, the fire protection district asks community members to stay away from the area while the mock motor vehicle accident is going on.
