FISHER, Ill. (WCIA) — Colt Daugherty, a freshman at Fisher High School and an aspiring baseball talent, recently secured a top-5 position in a prestigious national baseball contest. His remarkable achievement has won him an all-expenses-paid trip to attend game two of the World Series.

The competition, known as the MLB’s Pitch, Hit and Run contest, challenges around 50,000 young athletes across the country each summer. Daugherty, who narrowly missed the top spot last year, was determined to succeed this time around.
