SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Savannah native and LSU star Flau’jae Johnson will miss the 2025 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament next week in Greenville, S.C., LSU head coach Kim Mulkey told the team’s radio station on March 2, according to ESPN.

Johnson, who is in her third year in Baton Rouge, also did not play in the team’s regular-season finale loss to Ole Miss at home on Sunday.

According to Mulkey, Johnson is battling inflammation in her shin from an injury in the Feb. 16 loss to Texas.

The five-foot-10 guard leads the Tigers in scoring at 18.9 points a game. She is also second in the team in minutes played (32.3) and steals (1.6) per game.

According to Mulkey, the plan is to have the All-SEC performer ready for the NCAA Tournament, which starts Friday, March 21.

This is just the second game Johnson has missed in her career.
