Florida’s 10th Congressional District representative, Maxwell Frost, reported being attacked at the Sundance Film Festival, where he was struck by an individual who also hurled racial slurs at him.
In a social media update, Frost revealed that the attacker proclaimed that former President Donald Trump would “deport” him, just before launching the assault. The perpetrator fled the scene while continuing to shout racial abuse but was subsequently apprehended.
Frost assured that he did not sustain any serious injuries and expressed gratitude towards the venue’s security personnel and the Park City Police Department for their swift action.
The Sundance Film Festival, renowned as a premier event celebrating innovative filmmakers and fresh perspectives, is being held from January 22 to February 1, 2026, in Park City, Utah.
News 6 has contacted Representative Frost’s office to gather further details regarding the incident.
Last night, I was assaulted by a man at Sundance Festival who told me that Trump was going to deport me before he punched me in the face. He was heard screaming racist remarks as he drunkenly ran off. The individual was arrested and I am okay.
Thank you to the venue security and… https://t.co/Nhpj5rl3JO
