ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida deputy helped capture a gator from a backyard pool in St. Augustine before buckling him in the back of his patrol car.
Video posted Sunday on the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page shows the deputy wrangling the gator out of the pool with his bare hands.
“I know, you’re super mad,” the deputy is heard telling the gator as he gets him out of the pool.

Residents of the home are heard praising the deputy with one person saying to the deputy, “Obviously, you grew up here.”
He laughs and replies, “Yeah.”
The deputy then takes the gator to the back of his patrol car and places him into the back seat.
“You know what? Let me buckle you in,” the deputy says, pulling the seat belt and buckling the gator in.
