ORLANDO, Fla. – Politicians across Central Florida were quick to react to the news that the U.S. struck three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday.

According to the Associated Press, Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military struck three sites in Iran, directly joining Israel’s effort to decapitate the country’s nuclear program in a risky gambit to weaken a longtime foe amid Tehran’s threat of reprisals that could spark a wider regional conflict.

Republican Congressman Randy Fine took to X to praise President Trump’s decision, saying “Donald Trump has never let us down.”I wrote this after October 7th, 2023 when I endorsed him to return as President. I knew that when the world needed him, he would be there to save it. Bombs away.”

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott made his own post thanking the President, which can be read below:

Thank you, @POTUS, @SecDef,and our brave American warriors for a successful strike on three Iranian nuclear sites. This is what peace through strength looks like. The United States and the world are a safer place without Iran possessing a nuclear weapon.”

Florida Rep. Anna Eskamani, whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Iran, said in part, the “United States is on the cusp of war with Iran, and yet the American people have been given no proactive explanation, no evidence, and no clarity about why.”
