In Brevard County, Florida, a woman has been awarded a significant court victory following a distressing incident involving contaminated ice cream. The jury granted her over $14.1 million in damages after she consumed ice cream that contained nails and metal fragments.
The legal battle began in 2019 when Brandy Buckley and her legal team initiated a lawsuit against Malabar Creameries. This company operates the Bruster’s Ice Cream location in Palm Bay, where Buckley had purchased the tainted ice cream cone, prompting her complaint.
The ice cream was found to contain two nails along with several small metal pieces, as confirmed by Buckley’s attorneys.
