BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Fast cars and a fast offense, that’s what people spent the day in Bristol rooting for.

Georgia Bulldog and Tennessee Volunteer fans huddled together in the Bud Light Football Zone, a new addition at Bristol Motor Speedway, to watch the big SEC opener. Some fans came from Pennsylvania for the race, who said football, plus NASCAR, is an unbeatable duo.

“We’ve been coming here for the last six years, been here and here since Tuesday,” Tyler Millets, a Pennsylvania resident, told News Channel 11. “This addition right here, this tent – great job, A+. Whoever came up with this idea needs a raise.”

Brad Farley came from Morrisburg, Tennessee, and told News Channel 11 that this was his and his wife’s first race at Bristol Motor Speedway, and said they beat all his expectations.

“This is our anniversary, and this is just. It’s Bristol, baby! It’s a grace race,” Farley said. “I feel like a kid in a candy store. This is absolutely the greatest thing ever. This is something I never expected to see up here, and their fan zone is great. My expectations for it would be to grow even larger than it is. But for them, looking out for the fans, the way that they do it is just outstanding. Outstanding.”

Overall, fans said the Bud Light Football Zone made race night one of the best experiences they’ve ever had.
