Former Evans High School head football coach, teacher no longer employed by CCSD

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. () – The Evans High School head football coach is no longer an employee at the school.

According to a letter that was sent out by the Columbia County School District, Barrett Davis, who served as the head football coach and a teacher at Evans High School, is no longer employed by the Columbia County School District.

According to the Columbia County School District, Davis was hired as the Evans High School Head Football Coach in 2021. 

The later states that this update was sent out in regards to the ongoing investigation by the Columbia County School District.

On Monday, The Columbia County School District released a statement regarding an investigation at Evans High School stating that Evans High administrators have been notified of a report alleging an inappropriate relationship between an employee and a former Evans High School student.
