WSAV mourns loss of former News Director Kevin Brennan

SAVANNAH, Ga. () – While you may not have seen his face on TV, News Director Kevin Brennan was a key piece in every story you saw on News 3 for over 20 years. Today, we at mourn his loss.

Brennan started his media career in radio in the 1970s. He then transitioned over and became a vital part of television journalism in cities like New Orleans, Jacksonville and Tampa. But Kevin made his biggest mark when he found a home here at .

Running the day-to-day operations, he was instrumental in the newsroom winning a substantial number of Murrow, Emmy, AP and even a Peabody Award during his time in charge.

It was Kevin’s knowledge and his lovable personality that made him a local legend and a respected leader in the television industry.

He was a man who loved his family even more than a lead story. Everyone at is sending our condolences to them during this sad time and we are remembering Kevin Brennan, our former boss and our friend.
