CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Coastal Carolina Athletics announced Monday that it will offer a new incentive to be a part of Teal Nation this fall: free concession food for ticket buyers at Chanticleer football games.

“Our fans are the heartbeat of Teal Nation, and we’re always looking for ways to elevate their game day experience,” Chance Miller, vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation said. “With the CCU Kickoff Meal Deal, we’re excited to offer free concessions this fall as a way to say thank you for the energy, passion and support they bring to Brooks Stadium every game.”

The university’s athletic department is partnering with its concessionaire, Aramark, to introduce the ‘CCU Kickoff Meal Deal: Every Football Game, Every Fan, Always Free.’ This allows ticket buyers to get four items per concession stand visit, from a selection of hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and fountain drinks.

There is no limit to the number of in-game visits, but fans must scan each trip through the line with the soon-to-be launched Coastal Carolina Athletics App.

Specialty items, food from outside vendors, and alcoholic drinks will still be available for purchase, but will not be part of the free food deal.

Locations, menus, new items, and student concessions information will be announced closer to the start of the season. More information on the new app will be announced soon, a news release said.

The Chanticleers will host their first home game of the season on Sep. 6 against Charleston Southern. Season tickets are now available for purchase online.
