PAXTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A funeral procession on Saturday included a parade of approximately 150 trucks to honor Tanner Adkins.
On Monday, Jan. 13, Adkins died at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. His family said that his death was a “tragic accident.” A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Paxton Church of Christ with Pastor Dave Hohulin officiating.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church directly before the memorial service. Baier Family Funeral Services handled the arrangements. The funeral procession included a parade of approximately 150 semis and other types of trucks to honor Adkins.
Adkins was born Dec. 3, 2002, in Urbana. He is survived by his parents Michael and Martha Theesfeld Adkins; his fiancée Araya Stack; a brother Tyler (Sydni) Adkins; sister Callie (Matthew) Barger and many other family members.
He graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in 2021. Adkins was the co-owner/operator of TnT Trucking with his dad and brother.
“He had a smile that would light up a room and the most contagious laugh,” part of the obituary reads. “Tanner touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew him.”
