BAXLEY, Ga. (WJHL) — In a recent development, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) conducted a search at the Yurezz Home Center in Baxley, Georgia, under the authority of a search warrant.
Yurezz Home Center, which specializes in manufactured and modular homes, left many customers in distress after an unexpected shutdown in June. This closure has stranded homeowners with incomplete projects and financial losses, affecting patrons in Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Northern Florida, and East Tennessee.
Further complicating matters, more homeowners across Northeast Tennessee are reporting problems with the company.
The situation intensified when the Appling County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 42-year-old Richard Carl Altman in Baxley on July 8. He faces charges related to the illegal transmission of monetary funds, as announced on July 9.
The GBI is actively seeking assistance from affected customers to further their investigation. They have made an appeal: “If you suspect fraud or have not received the goods or services you purchased from Yurezz Home Center during 2025 or 2026, there are three channels available to report your information.”

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) did not share any details about the findings from the search warrant.
