BAXLEY, Ga. (WJHL) — News Channel 11 has uncovered additional details about one of the co-owners of Yurezz Home Center, a business dealing in manufactured and modular mobile homes based in Greeneville. Richard Carl Altman was apprehended on Wednesday in Georgia.
The Appling County Sheriff’s Office in Baxley, Georgia, revealed that 42-year-old Altman faces charges of Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds. These funds reportedly have their origins in Livingston Parish, Louisiana.
The sheriff’s office elaborated that there are “numerous ongoing investigations concerning the Altmans and their business dealings. These investigations involve departments within Georgia and several agencies across different states.”
In June, News Channel 11 interviewed Yurezz customers who had encountered issues with unfinished homes and financial losses amounting to several thousand dollars after the unexpected closure of the home center. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office acknowledged receiving several complaints regarding Yurezz Home Center, which are currently undergoing evaluation.
