CHARLESTON, S.C. — High school students in South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District can now enter the 2026 Congressional Art Competition.
The top artist will earn the honor of having their creation exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year and will be invited to a celebratory event in Washington, D.C., alongside winners from across the nation.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) stated, “Our district boasts a wealth of talented young individuals, and this competition provides them with the opportunity to present their artistic abilities on a national platform. We eagerly anticipate the innovation and talent our students will display, and we urge every high school artist in the 1st District to participate.”
Submissions are due by March 30, 2026, and should reflect themes relevant to life in South Carolina’s 1st District. Click here for further details.
