Glynn County shots fired arrest

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () — The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested three people after receiving a report of a carjacking. Upon arrival they found one person with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The incident happened Thursday night at a convenience store on Newcastle Street. Glynn County Fire Department (GCFD) performed medical aid to the victim who was then transported to a hospital. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Saturday detectives arrested three Brunswick residents in connection to the incident:

Alonzo Triplett III, 17, is charged with hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes and possession of a handgun by a person under 18.

Jimirol White Jr., 17, is charged with party to the crime of motor vehicle hijacking, party to the crime of aggravated assault, false statements and writings, possession of stolen property (firearm) and possession of a handgun by a person under 18. At the time of his arrest, White was found in possession of a handgun that had been reported stolen in an unrelated entering auto incident.

A 16-year-old male was charged with party to the crime of motor vehicle hijacking, party to the crime of aggravated assault and false statement and writings.

The three suspects were interviewed at GCPD headquarters. Triplett and White were taken to the Glynn County Detention Center. The juvenile suspect was taken to a youth detention facility.
