Glynn County alerting residents of CodeRED cybersecurity incident

Glynn County, GA – The Glynn County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency (GCEMHSA) has issued a public statement regarding a cybersecurity breach involving the CodeRED mass notification system.

Crisis24, which manages and operates CodeRED, has confirmed that the incident impacted all CodeRED users. They have since restored the system using the latest pre-incident backup available, dated March 31, 2025.

It’s important to note that any accounts created after March 31, 2025, were not included in the restoration process and, unfortunately, cannot be retrieved.

Crisis24 has provided guidance for those registered with CodeRED who may have inquiries about the investigation or the management of compromised data. Affected users are encouraged to reach out directly to CodeRED’s customer support by calling +1 866-939-0911 or by emailing crsupport@crisis24.com.

  • CodeRED’s primary functions have been restored.
  • User profile information may have been exposed during the incident.
  • Users are strongly encouraged to change the password associated with their CodeRED account.
