These are the Halloween costumes everyone is Googling

If you’re wondering what everyone’s planning to dress up as this Halloween, one phenomenon is dominating the rankings, according to Google search data: “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” Six of this year’s top 10 most-searched costumes come from the hit movie, with characters like Rumi, Zoey, Mira, Jinu and even Derpy the tiger making the list.

But Google’s “Frightgeist” search data shows that people are inspired by the usual mix of pop culture moments — “Wicked’s” Elphaba and Glinda are both on the list, Minecraft’s Chicken Jockey appeals to the gaming crowd, and classics like The Lorax and Hamilton prove timeless characters never really go out of style.

No. 3 on the list is — you guessed it — Mira from “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” The fan-favorite character may be a little prickly on the surface, but she knows the meaning of friendship — and she makes for a great Halloween costume.
