In response to the ongoing government shutdown, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has mandated that airlines reduce their flight schedules by 10% at 40 of the nation’s busiest airports. This move aims to alleviate the burden on air traffic controllers and ensure continued safety in the skies.
These reductions are slated to commence on Friday. Travelers are advised to verify the status of their flights with their respective airlines to ascertain if their travel plans will be affected. Below is a selection of the impacted airports:
