GRANITEVILLE, S.C. () – The Graniteville Vaucluse-Warrenville (GVW) Volunteer Fire Department responded to two structure fires on Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, the structure fires took place on the 4100 block of Stone Pass Drive and 8100 block of Cozy Knoll.

According to GVW, units arrived on the scene of the structure fire of Stone Pass Drive with smoke and fire showing, and they say that the fire started as a result of charging an older computer causing it to ignite the bedding materials.

Authorities say the occupant of the residence on Stone Pass Drive pushed the burning mattress out the window, and the fire burned the exterior wall and extended into the attic.

Meanwhile, units arrived on the scene of the structure fire on Cozy Knoll with fire showing.

According to GWV, the fire started on the exterior, believed to be from fireworks, and extended into the attack.

According to authorities, there were no injuries in the structure fire on Stone Pass Drive, but all 3 adults were displaced; meanwhile, in the structure fire on Cozy Knoll, 4 all adults were displaced, and one person was treated and transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
