Greeneville Armed Robbery Suspect Captured and Arrested

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – Authorities have apprehended a man in connection with an armed heist at a neighborhood store in Greeneville on Tuesday.

According to the Greeneville Police Department (GPD), David M. Saylor of Greeneville is accused of robbing the Forrest Hills Corner Market located at 1302 Snapps Ferry Rd at approximately 9 a.m., fleeing with $180.

GPD reports that Saylor allegedly arrived at the market in a 2015 Honda CRV. Wearing dark attire, a full-face mask, and gray utility gloves, he supposedly brandished a shotgun, demanding cash from the store clerk.

Through their investigation, the GPD was able to identify David Saylor as the perpetrator. He was subsequently located and taken into custody at the Greeneville Police Department.

Police executed a search warrant at Saylor’s house, during which deputies found a firearm along with other evidence related to the robbery.

GPD placed Saylor under arrest for aggravated robbery and taken to Greene County Detention Center.

He is being held on an $80,000 bond and set to appear in court for arraignment on June 26.
