AUGUSTA, Ga. — Reflecting on their performances at the 2026 Masters, Savannah’s own Brian Harman and former Bluffton resident Brian Campbell shared their thoughts following the conclusion of their final rounds.
Harman completed his round with a score of one over par, finishing in a tie for 33rd place with an overall even par. The University of Georgia graduate showed resilience, recovering from a challenging 79 on Thursday. By Friday, after four holes, he was 10 shots over par.
Demonstrating consistency, Harman made his fourth consecutive cut on Friday. Saturday proved to be a highlight as he recorded a personal best at the Masters with a score of 67.
“It’s a unique experience,” Harman remarked. “While the kids returned home after the par-three contest, they enjoyed watching the practice rounds, which was quite special. Augusta National really goes out of its way to accommodate families.
“In today’s world, it’s refreshing. Out here, there are no phones, so people have to engage and converse. My wife considers it her favorite week of the year. She gets to mingle and explore the course, which she absolutely loves,” he added.
Former Bluffton resident Brian Campbell fired a 73 on Sunday. He finishes his second Masters tied for 24th at two shots under par.
The bigger storyline is he makes the cut in consecutive Masters starts.
“You know I come here my first tim and make the cut and have a great sun,” Campbell said. “Then a year later, I make the cut again play solid this week. I’m over the moon right now, so I’m really happy about how I’m playing. I wish I could have had a few more for sure, but some good things looking forward.”
