Gullah Museum of Hilton Head to host heritage festival

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () – The Gullah Museum of Hilton Head is hosting a festival to celebrate the culture’s rich heritage and people.

The Gullah Heritage Festival celebrates and honors the rich cultural heritage of the Gullah people, who are descendants of enslaved Africans brought to the coastal regions of South Carolina, Georgia, and neighboring areas.

The festival will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $15.00 (ages 13 and over) and $5.00 (ages 6-12); children aged 5 and under are free.

It will feature a variety of events, including traditional Gullah music, dance, storytelling, crafts, and food.
