LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDKY) – When a child went missing in Louisville, Kentucky, in January, the community rallied together in a spirited search. In an unexpected twist, it was a dog that ultimately led the missing toddler back to his anxious family.
The Louisville Metro Police Department shared on Facebook that officers were called to action on January 7 after a 3-year-old boy disappeared. The department promptly initiated a search operation to locate the child.
“Whenever a young child goes missing, it’s a situation that fills everyone with dread,” explained Officer Josh Thompson of the Louisville Metro Police. “In cases involving children under 11, it’s all hands on deck for those who aren’t already on a call.”
