HHI-Bluffton Chamber Hosts Workforce Development Event to Boost Local Employment Opportunities

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — On Thursday, March 26, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce is set to host the JobsNow 2026 workforce event. This significant gathering will take place at the Technical College of the Lowcountry’s (TLC) Culinary Institute of the South, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from over 60 businesses across the Lowcountry. These companies, among the largest employers in the region, span various industries such as hospitality, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and professional services.

In addition, local academic institutions, including the University of South Carolina Beaufort, TCL, Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), and Savannah State University, will be present to connect with students and discuss future opportunities.

  • Welcome remarks by Dr. Tim Naddy, Vice President of Finance for the Savannah Bananas
  • Workshops for employers, attendees and students covering topics such as resume development, interview preparation, artificial intelligence in the workplace, and career transitions
  • A drawing for students for one of five $1,000 scholarships 
  • A special appearance and lunch session for students with Orchid Paulmeier, owner and chef at One Hot Mama’s and Food Network star
  • Heritage Academy’s barnyard animals, including goats Winston and Finely 
  • Heritage Academy’s flight simulator, offering test drives
  • Information on training programs, certifications and degree pathways available through regional education partners
