SAVANNAH, Ga. () — A driver has been arrested after a Georgia State Patrol (GSP) vehicle chase ended with impacting another vehicle on Staley Avenue.

According to GSP, troopers were stationary patrolling on Staley Ave on Saturday, April 12, when they noticed a white sedan pass their location without a tag.

Troopers initiated a traffic stop and the driver promptly fled. While fleeing, the offending vehicle sideswiped another vehicle in the same direction while in the opposing lane of travel and the offending vehicle slammed on its brakes to turn left. This caused troopers to stop strike the rear of that vehicle.

Upon impact the offending vehicle left the roadway, coming to an uncontrolled rest. The driver then fled on foot, a Trooper deployed his taser, subduing the driver who was then placed under arrest.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
