CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Local business owners Scotty Johnson and Keith Gibson joined WCIA’s Mitchell Rife to talk about their upcoming Shake N Shine Days event.

Scotty Johnson, owner of Smoke & Shine cocktail bar, and Keith Gibson, owner of Clubhouse Lounge Radio, have been brainstorming since Jan. 1 about putting some local live music together, and it took off from there. This will be the third year in a row the Clubhouse Lounge Radio has done a summer music show.

This year, they’re expanding the show with their Summer of Soul tour which kicks off June 5 at Oskee’s Sports Pub in Urbana. The tour is doing 10 different stops, which are sponsored by local businesses, to promote Shake N Shine Days. Some of these stops will be in Maroa, Danville and Monticello.

Shake N Shine Days will take place Aug. 8-9 at Smoke & Shine in Tolono. The event will include a cornhole tournament, local band performances and a golf cart giveaway. For more information on the event, visit their Facebook page.
