PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — As a freeze warning looms over the weekend, strawberry farmers at Fancy Farms are putting in extra hours to shield their crops from the cold snap.

“There’s a significant investment out there that we must safeguard,” explained Dustin Grooms, the farm manager at Fancy Farms.
