DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Decatur’s Fire Department has marked a significant milestone with the promotion of its newest Captain.

On Wednesday, the department announced through Facebook that Tina German-Roberts has been elevated to the rank of Captain. Her advancement is noteworthy, as she becomes the first woman to hold this position in the department’s history.
