TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — President Donald Trump gave remarks on the shooting at Florida State University Thursday.
At least six people were reported after an active shooter was reported at the campus. The suspect is in custody, according to the Associated Press.
Videos posted on social media showed multiple apparent victims being treated at the scene.

During a press briefing, Trump said he was briefed on the situation.
“It’s a shame,” the president said. “It’s a horrible thing, horrible that things like this take place.”
He said he would have more to say on the violence later.
Other government officials have also expressed their support for the victims as law enforcement investigates the matter.
“My office has already been in contact with school leadership about the tragic reporting on FSU’s campus,” Sen. Ashley Moody. “I am praying for the safety of the students, faculty and all first responders involved.”
“Our prayers are with our FSU family, and state law enforcement is actively responding,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said.
