LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — In an unexpected twist of fate, a Michigan resident credited ChatGPT with helping her secure a $100,000 Powerball win, as revealed by the Michigan Lottery on Thursday.

Tammy Carvey, aged 45, struck it lucky in the drawing held on September 6, initially claiming a $50,000 prize that was subsequently doubled thanks to the Power Play option.

“I only participate in the Powerball when the jackpot reaches significant amounts, and with the prize pot exceeding $1 billion, I decided to purchase a ticket,” Carvey explained. “I turned to ChatGPT for a set of Powerball numbers, and those were the digits I used for my entry.”
