Earlier Report: ‘Turn yourself in’: Two Pasco County teens hospitalized after hit-and-run incident
HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) — Authorities from the Florida Highway Patrol have identified a suspect in the hit-and-run accident that left two teenage boys severely injured in Hudson last week.
The incident occurred on the night of October 12, when 16-year-old Kaiden Paradise and 15-year-old Darius Maddox were struck while riding a minibike at the intersection of New York Avenue and US-19.
Both teenagers suffered critical injuries, necessitating airlift to the hospital. There, they underwent numerous emergency surgeries and remained sedated for several days following the crash.
While the Florida Highway Patrol has yet to release the suspect’s name, they revealed she is a 25-year-old woman from Memphis, Tennessee. With the help of local state troopers, the truck involved in the accident was located, showing damage consistent with the collision.
The woman is expected to be charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries, FHP said.
No additional information was provided about whether the woman is in custody or the circumstances surrounding her arrest.
