In Springfield, Illinois, on Wednesday, faith and community leaders came together to advocate for more stringent oversight and transparency within the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program.

Established in 1992, this program permits select hospitals and safety-net providers to acquire prescription medications at reduced prices.

The initiative aims to support the provision of care for individuals who are low-income, uninsured, or otherwise vulnerable.
