The FDA has announced a recall of certain California-grown peaches due to a potential listeria contamination risk. This recall affects products distributed nationwide, including in Illinois.
The affected produce consists of fresh white, yellow, and “peppermint” peaches from Moonlight Companies. These peaches have been available at various grocery chains across the country, including Trader Joe’s and Kroger stores. Specific Kroger locations involved are Mariano’s, Pick n Save, Metro Market, Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes, King Soopers, City Market, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Food4Less, FoodsCo, QFC, and Smith’s. At Kroger outlets, the peaches were sold under the Kroger brand name, as per FDA information.
The recalled peaches were available for purchase both individually and in multi-pack formats between September 16 and October 29, 2025.
