CHICAGO (WGN) — A Dairy Queen-inspired love story has a sweet connection to Illinois.

Newlyweds Olivia Morris and Bradley Blizzard officially became Mr. and Mrs. Blizzard following what began as a playful TikTok-turned collaboration with Dairy Queen.

The Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council helped turn the new bride and groom’s sweet dreams into reality by hosting a DQ photoshoot and providing personalized merchandise to celebrate the occasion.

Based and married in Texas, Morris is originally from Tuscola, Illinois, and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. The couple met on July 3, 202,1, and according to Dairy Queen spokespeople, bonded over their mutual love for the restaurant.

Regarding her preference for Dairy Queen Blizzard, Olivia Morris says her favorite is the Oreo-flavored treat, while her husband, Bradley, prefers the Reese’s Peanut Butter Blizzard.

The first Dairy Queen restaurant opened in June of 1940 in Joliet.
