STATESBORO, Ga. () — There will be an increased presence of law enforcement at Statesboro High School on Wednesday following an off-campus incident, a Bulloch County Schools representative said.

The law enforcement presence, alongside increased district leadership, could continue for the remainder of the week.

The district was informed by Statesboro Police that the incident may involve multiple students, the representative said on Tuesday night.

They also warned against using social media to share unverified information.

Anyone with any information about this case or other safety concerns are encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately or a school administrator.
