Indiana Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Rape Captured in Washington County, Tennessee

BOWMANTOWN, Tenn. (WJHL) — Authorities in Washington County successfully apprehended a fugitive facing serious felony charges from Indiana. The arrest took place Tuesday night in the Bowmantown vicinity.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reported in a press release that they located 43-year-old Harlan Keith Damron at a residence situated in the 400 block of Bowmantown Road shortly before 8 p.m. Damron was sought under a felony warrant originating from Jefferson County, Indiana.

Officers detained Damron without any resistance and subsequently transported him to the Washington County Detention Center. An extradition hearing was slated for Wednesday. Authorities disclosed that Damron is held on a $250,000 bond in Indiana.

His extradition is required for several felony offenses, which include the following:

  • Attempted Rape
  • Criminal Confinement
  • Domestic Battery
  • Residential Entry
  • Strangulation
  • Criminal Mischief
