JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) was on the scene of an apparent road rage shooting on Tuesday afternoon near North Roan Street.
A spokesperson for the JCPD told News Channel 11 that the shooting took place at the intersection of North Roan Street and 11th Avenue, and that section of the roadway was closed while crews investigated.
The JCPD said North Roan Street has since been reopened in the area of the shooting.
One male was shot in the upper torso and taken to a hospital for treatment, according to JCPD.
Police arrested Jacob Holmes, 34, of Johnson City, and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault and four counts of felony reckless endangerment. He was arrested at the scene and transported for questioning. He is expected to be transported to the Washington County Detention Center Tuesday night.
