URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — A 24-year-old man is in “serious condition” after being shot in Urbana Monday afternoon.
Urbana Police officers responded near Dublin St. and Mathews Ave. at 12:35 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the victim inside a home with gunshot wounds.
After investigating, police said the victim was shot outside and entered a nearby house afterward. He was brought to a local hospital and is in serious condition as of Monday evening. No one else inside the home was hurt, police said.
Police viewed video surveillance which showed two unidentified males running south on Romine Street immediately after the shooting. As of Monday evening, the investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
