Colleton County Sheriff's Office investigating 2 shootings in Walterboro

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. () – The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate shootings that occurred recently.

The first shooting took place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2:10 a.m. Deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Fletcher Lane in Walterboro. An adult male was shot while sleeping inside his home with his children.

After confirming his children were unharmed, the victim called 911. He was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital. He is currently in stable condition.

Detectives have identified persons of interest, and this case remains an active and ongoing
investigation.

The second shooting occurred on Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a report of a drive-by shooting on Deloach Avenue. A 15-year-old male was shot while sitting in a vehicle parked outside the residence.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains under medical care.

Residents in both areas are encouraged to review their surveillance footage and report any suspicious vehicles, individuals, or activity that could aid in the investigation.
