JACKSONVILLE, Fla. () — The Jacksonville Jaguars hosted a ‘mock scrimmage’ on Aug. 1 at Everbank Stadium as they continue preparations for the start of the 2025 campaign.

A lot of eyes were on rookie Travis Hunter. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner appears to be a fan favorite. Several kids were screaming his name during warm-ups in hopes of getting his attention to come over and sign an autograph.

As for the game, Hunter played on both sides of the ball. He spent the entirety of the first quarter and part of the second quarter on offense. Then he switched to a white jersey and played defense in the second quarter. The second quarter was extended multiple times as the team added time to the game clock.

As for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, he threw three touchdowns and one interception. The first two touchdowns went to last year’s rookie standout Brian Thomas Jr. The last touchdown was completed to tight end Brenton Strange as the team worked on its two-minute offense.

The final score, according to the Jaguars, was 17-9 in favor of the teal team.
