67-point win for Jenkins Girls Basketball in first round of GSHA playoffs, others moving on

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Wednesday was the first round of the state tournament for the Georgia High School Association, and several teams in the area advanced to the second round.

Jenkins came out and dominated from the start. The Warriors jumped out to a 34-4 lead after the first quarter and kept their foot on the gas to secure the win 81-14.

The Warriors take on the winner of Jefferson and East Hall on Feb 21. The tipoff time is to be determined.

Another team in the area that dominated is the Calvary Day Girls. The Cavs defeated Landmark Christian at home 54-25.

Calvary Day will go onto play the winner of Paideia and Providence Christian Academy Feb 21.

The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers also took care of business in round one. The Tigers defeated Rome at home 56-31.

Bradwell will face Lee County in the next round on Feb. 21 with the tipoff time TBD.

Lastly, Bryan County also advanced after cruising to a 46-29 win against Hawkinsville.

Bryan County will play Macon County on Feb. 21.
