SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Johnson Atomsmashers celebrated two football players continuing their athletic and academic careers at the next level on Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Johnathan Hill will play football next year at Lakeland University in Wisconsin. He was originally committed to another school, but saw a better opportunity with Lakeland.

“They’ve got a good football program, a good teaching program,” said Hill. “It’s a lot of good stuff up there in Lakeland. They gave me a great scholarship. I took it. I’ll have fun of them.

Also committing is running back Isaiah Scott. He’s going to Andre College. He amassed 389 yards on 75 carries and three touchdowns. He also added another 84 yards on six receptions and another score.

“As a kid,” Scott said, “I always wanted to play football and go to the next level. This is a dream come true. That’s the first school that gave me a chance and I’m just big on being close to home for real.”

Congrats to Johnathan and Isaiah.
