Johnson City Child Abuse Case: Local Man Arrested After Disturbing Hospital Report

In Johnson City, Tennessee, a man named Joshua Queen has been arrested and faces serious charges following a disturbing domestic incident. Queen, aged 42, is accused of aggravated child abuse and aggravated domestic assault after he allegedly assaulted a juvenile by holding her against a wall by her throat.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reported that deputies were dispatched to a residence on Minga Drive, where the incident unfolded. Upon arrival, officers found Queen in a heightened state, reportedly shouting and hurling objects through the open front door. Authorities quickly intervened, separating him from the victims present at the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, a juvenile victim was discovered with visible injuries. She recounted to deputies that Queen had forcefully pushed her into a closet, pinned her against a kitchen counter, and subsequently held her against a wall by her throat, which impaired her ability to breathe.

“Deputies observed a juvenile with injuries, who stated Queen pushed her into a closet, pinned her against the kitchen counter and held her against a wall by her throat, making it difficult for her to breathe,” the release states.

Another victim reportedly came to the juvenile’s aid during the altercation, the WCSO added.

Queen was taken into custody and is being held without bond, according to the release. He was set to appear in court on Thursday. The WCSO said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries.
