JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Johnson City man was arrested on Thursday after authorities learned that he was allegedly receiving explicit child materials from victims across the United States.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), detectives in Newport, New Hampshire learned in March that a minor was sending “child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) to an adult male online via the social media platform Discord.”

The man was identified as Jacob Isaia Haun, 20, of Johnson City.

The TBI reports that its agents in the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Squad were alerted and starting working with New Hampshire authorities to investigate Haun.

“Upon further review of Haun’s Discord account, agents discovered that he received numerous CSAM images and videos from victims across the country,” the TBI stated in a news release.

Warrants charging Haun with especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and solicitation of a minor via electronic means were obtained. The TBI reports Haun was arrested on Thursday with the help of the Johnson City Police Department.

Haun was booked into the Washington County Detention Center.

As of Thursday, the investigation remains ongoing while agents continue to identify the children Haun allegedly targeted. Anyone who might have had contact with the Discord username @IMPERATED and the display name “biti” should call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
